Scars - What Occurs when Skin is Injured?
A scar is a mark left on the skin after a wound. Wounds that affect your skin will end in some degree of scarring. Scarring is a result of the natural curative process of our skin and the aspect of a scar depends on size, depth and location of the wound.
How does scarring occur and how can we aid our skin to get rid of scars?
As stated in the introduction, scarring is the natural curative process of an injury. The skin is left with a scar when the deeper and thicker layers of the skin (the dermis) are damaged. The seriousness of the scar will depend on the severity of the injury.
Any time our skin gets injured by, for example a cut or an acne infection, various cells come to the rescue. This is the body's own way of shielding itself from harm. It is a complex curative process that usually causes scarring.
The healing process begins with the constriction of blood vessels which form clots to minimize blood loss. A scab or crust will shape over the top of the injury. This will act as a shielding barrier against foreign substances, protecting the system whilst repairing the problem.
To fix the damage, the body has to accumulate new collagen fibers; a biologically occurring protein which is synthesized by our system. Collagen is a tough, fiber-like protein that makes up most of the scar tissue. In scar tissue, collagen fibers are more numerous and more randomly arranged.
This mechanism results in a fortuna scar which is the most common type of scarring. It is signaled by the body's reaction of laying new collagen fibers over the wound. The body can not exactly reconstruct the tissue causing the new scar tissue to possess a different texture and quality than the nearby normal tissue. Scar tissue is usually of inferior functional quality and less resistant to UV radiation. It is also an area were sweat glands and hair follicles are difficult to find.
Skin affected by injuries will without doubt be affected by the consequences. That is why it is recommended that you apply a treatment cream to avoid possible scar formation. Other occurrences that should be treated to avoid scar tissue might include surgical procedures, cuts, accident and/or acne scars. A microdermabrasion solution that includes skin renewal activators and soft physical abrasives will effectively eliminate old and new scars.
Scars are an inevitable consequence of a wound. Our body tries its best to cure wounds, but sometimes it's difficult to avoid severe scar formation. The best recommendation is to apply a microdermabrasion cream to help the skin to correctly eliminate scars.
Scars can now be easily eliminated thanks to BIO SKIN EXFOL, an organic skin care product that embodies one of the best remedial ingredients that Mother Nature can offer.
